An exciting opportunity is available for someone hungry to develop their insolvency career in a a boutique City based advisory and financial services firm. Specialising in business transformation, restructuring and special situations this established practice advises a wide range of organisations in financial distress on business transformation, asset management, disputes, restructuring and insolvency covering sectors such as financial services, asset management, real estate, energy, mining, life sciences, technology, media, manufacturing and transportation.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who has already had experience of working on a range of insolvency assignments in a recognised professional services firm . Your role will involve overseeing a portfolio of challenging corporate and personal insolvency cases from start to completion; Monitoring case diary lines and dealing with statutory matters, including the preparation of detailed reports and correspondence on a range of matters; Reporting direct to the senior partners, including identification of risk issues; Dealing with key stakeholders including creditor correspondence; Assistance with complex investigations; and Assistance with guidance of more junior staff.
The successful candidate will need to be partly or fully professionally qualified (accountant, CPI or JIEB) with at least 2 years experience of formal insolvency situations, ideally including administrations. You will also need a good all-round appreciation of restructuring and insolvency principles with experience of administrations being essential. Other advisory experience would also be useful. You should be a strong communicator with a good knowledge of IPS and Microsoft Office.
